Rich Wonders currently serves as Vice President, Marketing and Business Strategy for Alcatel North America. In his current role since joining Alcatel in early 2006, Rich and his team are responsible for development of market strategies and Go-To-Market plans for all customer segments Alcatel serves in North America, including wireline and wireless operators, cable providers, and enterprise customers.
From 1987 thru early 2006, Rich was with BellSouth Corporation where he served in various roles of increasing responsibility within sales, marketing, product management, communications, technology, and corporate strategy. He started his career in small business sales, and rose thru the sales organization with assignments as National Sales Director and Branch Manager within the Enterprise Sales Division. Most recently Rich led the Product Management and Marketing organizations responsible for BellSouth’s Business and Wholesale Broadband portfolio. Those organizations were responsible for product strategy, product marketing, product management, sales operations and deployment planning for the family of broadband (xDSL) products supporting BellSouth’s small business, large business, and wholesale markets. He also held assignments with responsibility for the strategy, development, introduction and product management of all applications and features available on BellSouth’s narrowband and broadband internet service offerings, including WiFi and home networking services
Rich holds an MBA in International Business from Mercer University, with undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Information Systems.
In addition to his active involvement in the Make-A-Wish-Foundation, he has also participated in numerous broadband and communications industry events as a featured presenter or panel participant.
Rich and his wife Donna live in Dallas, TX with their three children. |
